Carl Hornemann

Carl Hornemann loved working with colors.
He studdied chemistry and anther scienes.
Carl Hornemann founded Pelikan in 1938.

Günter Wagner


Born: March 6, 1842 - Died: October 12, 1930

This picture shows the man who gave Pelikan its name: Günther Wagner.
He started to work at Pelikan on December 14, 1863, about 25 years after Karl Hornemann founded the company.
Günther Wagner became the sole owner of the company in 1871, which has been called Pelikan since then.
Günther Wagner died in 1930 at the age of 88.

Dr. Fritz Beindorff, Sr.


Born: April 29,1860 - died: ?

Dr. Fritz Beindorff Senior joined Pelikan on September 16, 1860. Became the sole owner of Pelikan on January 1, 1895. Fritz had 3 sons: Dr. Günher Beindorff, Kurt Beindorff and Fritz Beindorff, Junior.

Dr. Günther Beindorff


Born: February 23, 1890 - died: ?

First son of Fritz Beindorff.
Began working in the factory on April 21,1908.
Returned to Pelikan on November 1, 1919 after studying chemistry and after World War 1 ended.
Became one of the managers of the chemistry department in 1921.

Fritz Beindorff, Junior


Born February 23, 1891 - Died: February 7, 1938

Middle son of Fritz Beindorff.
Started to work with Pelikan on April 21, 1911.
Became the manager of Pelikan on April 21, 1911. He worked in Pelikan’s New York branch office shortly before World War I.
Specialized in opening foreign offices.

Kurt Beindorff


Born: July 12, 1894 - died: ?

Youngest son of Fritz Beindorff Senior.
Began working at Pelikan on November 1, 1911.
Left to fight in World War 1 in 1914. Returned to Germany on November 22, 1920.
He studdied in the United States.
Became manager of the metals department in 1925.

Pelikan reps in december 1937.

 


Pelikan is now sold all over the world...
